Wyler Vetta dedicates to the Coppa Milano-Sanremo, a motoring event of which it is a sponsor, a Jumbostar Crono made in a limited edition of only 100 pieces.
Wyler Vetta continues its collaboration with the Coppa Milano-Sanremo, one of the world's most iconic and historic motoring events, which returns to the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza in 2025. For the third year running, therefore, Wyler Vetta is sponsoring the event, combining its watchmaking tradition with the speed and elegance of four wheels. To celebrate this synergy, the House presents a new limited edition of the Jumbostar Crono, in a limited run of just 100 numbered pieces.
"We are deeply proud to continue our journey alongside an event that embodies passion and elegance, values that we share with our watchmaking philosophy. Our long tradition in the world of watches has always been intertwined with our interest in the automotive world. Previous editions of our collection, inspired by this race, have been enthusiastically received by collectors and watch and car enthusiasts, fascinated by the combination of past, present and future that animates our creations and the event itself', said Beppe Ambrosini, partner and senior advisor at Wyler Vetta.
The 16th Coppa Milano-Sanremo Historic Re-enactment, to be held from 10 to 13 April, carries with it the theme 'Tribute to Temple of Speed' and will see the historic race return to the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, recently restored, and which will host the technical tests and the first day of competition. The competition, which has its roots in 1906, is the oldest in Italy and one of the most famous in the world. The event includes regularity and time trials that will lead to the proclamation of the winners, who will receive two examples of the new Jumbostar Crono Milano-Sanremo as prizes.
Wyler Vetta Jumbostar Crono Milano-Sanremo: limited edition of 100 pieces
This new chronograph, with its 40 mm steel case, is driven by the ETA calibre 2894.
The Jumbostar Crono Milano-Sanremo uses a satin-finished steel case with a diameter of 40 mm and a thickness of 12.6 mm. The crown for setting the hours and minutes and winding the movement is located at 3 o'clock, while at 10 o'clock is the additional crown that drives the graduated rotating flange. The dial, in the shade British Green, recalls the iconic style of vintage cars and houses the tachymeter scale on a metallic gold background. The hours are marked by SuperLuminova luminescent indices, as are the hands. A distinctive touch is provided by the bright red chrono seconds hand.
The additional counters, located at 3 and 9 o'clock, are decorated in metallic gold and indicate continuous seconds and chrono minutes respectively. At 6 o'clock, a logo dedicated to the Coppa Milano-Sanremo reproduces two vintage coupé cars from the 1930s in red and green. The domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal protecting the dial further emphasises the retro look of the watch. The new Jumbostar Crono Milano-Sanremo from Wyler Vetta is powered by the automatic ETA calibre 2894, operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour and with a 42-hour power reserve. The screw-down case back bears the progressive number of the limited edition, the Wyler Vetta logo and the exclusive graphics of the 16th Coppa Milano-Sanremo historic commemoration. Water-resistant to 100 metres, this new Jumbostar Crono is combined with a light brown Mohawk leather strap.
