The fourth edition of W.O.I. - Watches Of Italy, an exhibition dedicated to Italian watchmaking production, will be held on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 October (admission is free, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.) at the Museo delle Macchine Agricole 'Orsi', in Tortona (AL), Via Emilia 446. The patron of the exhibition is the municipality of Tortona itself. W.O.I. - Watches Of Italy was born in 2019 from the idea of creating a container, flexible and immediate, of Italian entrepreneurs devoted to the universe of watches at 360° in synergy with each other. The aim is to create an increasingly wide network at national level and to be able to be present at major international events as well.
Fabrizio Dellachà, creator and coordinator of the W.O.I. - Watches of Italy collective, declares: "Last year, the third edition of Watches of Italy was attended by over 4,000 visitors, who were able to see and touch many new products, meet the manufacturers directly, and purchase watches and accessories on site. Watches Of Italy, whose main objective remains that of highlighting Italian ingenuity, thanks also to the support of the trade press and others, also confirmed itself as an ideal setting for launching world premieres. Last year's sell-out, with 56 brands present, is confirmation that Italian watchmaking is more alive than ever.
Silvia Bonfanti, Communications and Press Office Manager of W.O.I. - Watches of Italy, added: "Thanks to the positive feedback from the public regarding the talks organised during the past edition, this year too we will try to offer visitors insights and sharing. With new and interesting open forums, involving the main Italian YouTubers, as well as people of reference in the sector".
Federico Chiodi, mayor of Tortona, also emphasised the importance of the event. Here are his statements: 'Last year's edition of W.O.I. confirmed itself as a growing reality and an increasingly prestigious event for our city. We recorded an increase in visitors compared to the 2021 edition, with over 4,000 visitors during the two days at the Orsi Museum, over 1,000 more than the previous year. Very important numbers for a reality like Tortona, which also had an important impact on the territory in terms of receptivity. Above all, it was an opportunity for the many enthusiasts present to discover our city and its products of excellence. This event contributes to good territorial marketing, also promoting our wine and food, landscape, cultural and environmental typicalities'.
