The appointment with the 2022 edition of Watches Of Italy (W.O.I.) is set for next Saturday and Sunday (15 and 16 October), from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., in Tortona (AL), and more precisely at the 'Orsi' Museum of Agricultural Machinery, in Via Emilia 446.
The last edition of Watches Of Italy, which took place last year, was attended by some 3,000 visitors, with the presence of 10 more brands than the previous edition (which was the first), and a +50% attendance.
In addition to the presence of many interesting Italian exhibitors (including Squale, Venezianico, Kienzle, Mondia, Gruppo Ardito Watches, Fonderia Lab, Out Of Order and Echo/Neutra, to name but a few), there will also be discussion forums of undoubted interest, such as the one that will be held on Sunday 16 October, from 3 to 5.30 p.m., namely "W.O.I. Talk", the main novelty of the 2022 edition of the exhibition. In particular, the talk "Lectio magistralis - Italian watchmaking: its secrets and its future" will take place from 3 to 4 p.m., whose speakers include Prof. Ugo Pancani (Trainer Academy F.H.H. Genéve - Member Academy G.P.H.G.), Marco Mantovani (CEO Locman), Marco Carniello (Global Exhibition Director Jewellery & Fashion IEG/Vicenzaoro) and Fabrizio Dellachà (organiser and creator of Watches Of Italy).
From 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m., on the other hand, it will be the turn of the 'Open forum - Watchmaking: yesterday, today and tomorrow', a pleasant opportunity for discussion with the public, to take stock of the situation. Market trends and the direction that the watchmaking sector is taking globally will be analysed. Speakers will include some of the leading Italian YouTubers, such as Pierpaolo Cassoni of Undersea-Time, Marco Beltrandi of Tempo e Misura, Marco Bracca of Wrist Addiction, Cesare Palmisano of Amico Orologiaio, Mattia Papili of Watch Maniac, as well as Stefano Carazzali, director of La Clessidra dal 1945. The moderator will be Fabrizio Dellachà, organiser and creator of Watches Of Italy.
Speaking of W.O.I., Federico Chiodi, mayor of Tortona, said: 'Tortona reconfirms itself as a centre capable of attracting quality events of national scope, such as 'W.O.I. - Watches of Italy'. W.O.I. 3, to be held on 15 and 16 October at the Museo Orsi, has now become a prestigious fixed appointment for our city. Last year, the increase in visitors recorded compared to the first edition, with around 1,000 more visitors than in 2020, had an important impact on the area, also in terms of accommodation facilities".
