Watches and Wonders opens its doors to the public and becomes 'In the City'

The most important innovations at Watches and Wonders 2023, to be held in Geneva in just over two months' time.

From 27 March to 2 April, the curtain will rise on Watches and Wonders 2023 in Geneva. Almost 50 participating manufacturers will exhibit their creations in person but also online, via the watchesandwonders.com platform. The most striking novelty of this edition will be the final public opening on the last two days of the event, coinciding with the first weekend in April (Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd).

A rich programme is planned for the occasion, which will include lectures and panels every day in the Auditorium. Experts and renowned speakers will be on hand to interpret watchmaking trends, explain what makes a watch valuable or how to start a collection of vintage models. Current topics such as the metaverse, NFTs, blockchain and circularity will also be covered. There will also be a space dedicated to innovation and new technologies, called LAB, animated by some of the exhibiting Maisons' projects that seek to bring the future to the heart of watch movements.

Moreover, for the first time this year Watches and Wonders will also be held "In the City": the main watchmaking brands in Rue du Rhône and Rues Basses, in the heart of Geneva, will open the doors of their boutiques to unveil special creations and great complications. On Thursday 30 March, from 17:00 to 21:00, a special evening dedicated to watchmaking will be held in Rues Basses: it is an opportunity to get involved in the world of watches, with musical encounters, street shows and famous artists. Conferences on 'Geneva and watchmaking' will be organised at the Pont de la Machine; an information desk will also be active there throughout the week.
