The Nereide Tungsteno 5° Anniversario is a watch that synthesises several aspects of the Venetian philosophy. The watch is characterised by the use of tungsten, a metal of extraordinary hardness and with which the bezel insert, rotating unidirectionally on 120 clicks, is made.
This celebratory version is also notable for the rose gold coloured details that decorate the dial, the bezels themselves, the crown (with protective straps) and the bracelet. This is the third variant of the Tungsten collection, which has been produced in a limited edition of only 300 pieces to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the brand's founding.
As Alberto Morelli, one of the two founders and CEO of Venezianico, explains, 'this is the watch I am most fond of, as I have worn its prototype constantly on my wrist throughout 2022. A year full of challenges and satisfactions, which heralds a 2023 full of novelties, including the inauguration of a new atelier that will be the hub of the brand's activity for years to come'.
A special feature of the Tungsteno "5th Anniversary" edition is the engraving on the case back, depicting the two Moors striking the bell of the Clock Tower in St. Mark's Square with their hammers. This diver's timepiece employs a 42 mm steel case guaranteed water-resistant to 20 atmospheres and is powered by the Sellita SW200-1 (Swiss Made) calibre, mechanical with automatic winding. Finally, the dial (which houses SuperLuminova luminescent hands and markers and a date window at 3 o'clock) is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
