Vacheron Constantin ha inaugurato in collaborazione con Hausmann & Co. una nuova boutique nel cuore di Roma, e più precisamente al civico numero 29 di Via dei Condotti. It is of the third (and largest) Italian single-brand boutique for Vacheron Constantin, after those in Milan and Florence. This new opening also coincides with the 270th anniversary of the foundation of the Maison, which took place in 1755.

The boutique is spread over two levels, with a total area of 200 square metres, within the courtyard of a historic building on Via dei Condotti. The entrance is characterised by a striking corridor paved in travertine, the same stone used for the Colosseum and the colonnade of St. Peter's, creating an immediate link with the Roman architectural heritage.

Design and details that tell of excellence

Vacheron Constantin's new Roman boutique is the perfect fusion of contemporary elements and historical references from the Roman tradition.

The interior cleverly blends contemporary elements and historical references. The walls are embellished with the Maltese Cross motif, the Maison's logo, while the Fornasetti wallpaper with hot air balloons celebrates the theme of travel. Murano glass chandeliers, custom-made furniture and fine materials such as travertine characterise the rooms, creating an elegant and refined atmosphere.

To celebrate this new opening, Vacheron Constantin commissioned the Urbino artist and ceramist Denis Di Luca to create a sculpture entitled 'Moments'. The work, composed of 12 ceramic spheres representing the hours, blends traditional and contemporary techniques, symbolising the link between the measurement of time and the cyclical nature of life. The sculpture, displayed in the new boutique, is inspired by the Maltese Cross, symbol of the brand, and recalls the grandeur of the Roman Empire and the geometry of Rome's historic squares.

The second floor of the boutique houses a large salon with burgundy walls, where the Maison's motto 'faire mieux si possible, ce qui est toujours possible' ('do better if possible, which is always possible'). This space is designed for exclusive events and to offer customers a personalised shopping experience, allowing them to discover the house's collections, from classics to grand complications.
