Vacheron Constantin on show in Milan

Vacheron Constantin, whose foundation dates back to 1755, is the oldest watch manufacturer in the world, boasting no less than 266 years of uninterrupted activity. In order to highlight this rich heritage, the House is exhibiting a selection of historical models - from the Vacheron Constantin private collection - at its Milan boutique in Via Pietro Verri 9, until 28 October. This selection is a veritable invitation to discover the universe of Vacheron Constantin. Each of these timepieces tells a story and is representative of watchmaking as a meeting point between art and technique. Moreover, each of these timepieces embodies the Maison's motto: "Do better if possible, and it is always possible". Thanks to a set of archives and a private collection comprising some 1,300 watches - managed by the Maison's heritage specialists - Vacheron Constantin is now able to offer an introspective journey to the edge of history. Among the models on display is a silver pocket watch dating right back to 1755 (the year the House was founded), which is also the oldest timepiece in Vacheron Constantin's private collection, and the only model to bear the founder's full name, engraved on the movement, including the initials of his first name.
