We have already presented in L'OROLOGIO the Biformeter by Linde Werdelin (in issue 170). From the idea of the two enterprising Danes Morten Linde and Jørn Werdelin came a sports watch with a mechanical movement, which at the same time also becomes an authentic professional computer for diving or skiing, complete with a database to record all the information needed when diving or skiing in the mountains. Here now is the Hard Black DLC Elemental version. The Biformeter's stainless steel case, water-resistant to 30 atmospheres, metres, is first hardened and then sandblasted with a thousandth of a millimetre of carbon to create a surface up to three times harder than steel and second in hardness only to diamond. This hydrogen-free diamond structure guarantees the watch a long service life and high resistance to scratches and corrosion - qualities that are indispensable for Linde Werdelin timepieces, combined with their ski or diving instruments.
