Ulysse Nardin Diver X Cape Horn

Ulysse Nardin, partner of the Vendée Globe, the solo round-the-world regatta without assistance and without stopovers, has awarded Giancarlo Pedote a Diver X Cape Horn watch. The Prysmian Group skipper, the only Italian in the race, rounded Cape Horn in early January to take eighth place in the final ranking of the long and difficult competition that started on 8 November 2020 from Les Sables-d'Olonne, in the Loire Valley, and ended on 5 March with the arrival of the last of the 33 participating sailors. The watch, with its 44 mm case in DLC-treated titanium and unidirectional carbon bezel, is characterised by the unmistakable satin-finished black X printed in relief in the centre of the dial. In addition to the hours and minutes display, the latter features a power reserve at 12 o'clock and small seconds and date display at 6 o'clock. The Diver X Cape Horn is fitted with a fabric strap with saffron-coloured stitching and Velcro fastening and bears an engraving of the Vendée Globe route on the back. Guaranteed water-resistant to a pressure of 30 atmospheres, it is powered by the UN-118 movement that guarantees precision in any hemisphere at any time of day or night. Limited edition of 300 pieces, on sale at €9,900.
