Following the idea first explored with the Capsoil model, U-Boat designer Italo Fontana presents a new collection, Darkmoon, with which he further develops the innovative concept of "Oil Immersion". Here, an oil bath completely immerses the watch's electromechanics, the Ronda Swiss quartz movement, and fills the entire dial with the exception of an exposed air bubble to compensate for temperature variations. There are five models in the collection, all with 44 millimetre diameter cases, black dials, numbers and indexes in beige, and hands treated with SuperLuminova in the same colour. Two of these, one with a polished steel case and one with a black IPB-treated case, both with domed mineral glass in transparent and red versions, are available for both types so that there are four different models in total. In addition, there is a further version with a bronze-coloured case, thanks to the IP bronze treatment, black dial and mineral glass only in the transparent version. All Darkmoon watches feature an ultra-resistant vulcanised rubber strap in black, personalised with the brand logo in relief, with the exception of the model with an IP bronze case fitted with a hand-finished, laser-engraved calfskin strap.
