A new event at Faraone Auction House, scheduled for Monday 11 November 2019. On the watch front, two Rolex GMT Ref.1675 stand out, one in yellow gold, the other the more classic one in steel and plastic glass; a '75 Rolex Precision with a customised Emirates dial; a Rolex Daytona 6265 in steel. Among the jewellery, the auction's top lot was a pair of modular earrings signed Faraone with an estimate of €450,000-600,000, made up of Colombian drop emeralds and shuttle diamonds, complete with original box.Among the lots up for auction are a rare snuff box from the Russian Imperial Court, made by the jeweller Bolin and boasting an ivory miniature of Emperor Alexander II with an estimate of Euro 100,000-150,000; a yellow gold and enamel box depicting the initials of Charles Albert of Savoy and the Savoy coat of arms of the Kingdom of Sardinia probably produced in Turin between 1830 and 1850 (estimate Euro 15.000-20,000); a yellow gold cigarette case together with a set of yellow gold cufflinks and buttons with sapphires and diamonds (estimated value €9,000-13,000) that belonged to Marlene Dietrich accompanied by an autographed letter. This event, which will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in Milan, will be preceded by a four-day exhibition in the cosy Chalet, the prestigious hotel's Christmas installation. To the rhythm of the hammer blows of auctioneer Patrizia di Carrobio, a Bulgari signature flower en tramblant brooch, made of platinum with drop, navette, round and baguette diamonds, estimated at 150,000-170.000; a platinum ring with a Colombian emerald (€90,000-100,000); a rare Colombian no-oil emerald (€65,000-75,000); a ring with a pink sapphire (€25,000-35,000); and a ring with a non-heated Burmese ruby (€40,000-50,000). Among the most representative brands, Buccellati led the way with 22 lots including an earring and ring set in white gold and diamonds, complete with box and guarantee and a yellow and white gold ring with a sapphire. This is followed by a series of iconic pieces by Cartier, Pomellato, Vhernier and Webb. There are also a number of lots of fine silverware, including six trays signed Cusi, a samovar with an ivory handle, two Cartier decanters and three signed Venini vases from The Desert collection produced in a limited series.
