Unlike conventional solar watches that use visible photovoltaic panels, the PRC 100 Solar absorbs both natural and artificial light through sapphire glasswhere microscopic solar cells with a honeycomb structure convert it and store it in a rechargeable battery.

This guarantees the remarkable autonomy of 14 months on a full charge. Even in environments with poor sunlight, the watch remains charged under artificial light. Ten minutes of exposure to light is enough to achieve 24 hours of battery life.

Thanks to the zebra connector integrated in the case, energy is then transferred to the Swiss Made F06.615 quartz movement. Available in a 39 mm case (34 mm variants will be launched in late spring), in steel or with a Pvd coating, and with water resistance to 100 metres, Tissot's PRC 100 Solar relies on a minimalist aesthetic to emphasise its versatility for multiple occasions.

The dial is available in silver-plated soleil, blue and black versions, with hands and indices treated with SuperLuminova. Indicating the end of the energy is the seconds hand, which will move at intervals of 4 to indicate that the movement needs to be exposed to light.
