To mark World Ocean Day, Blancpain has unveiled the third series of limited edition (250 pieces) Blancpain Ocean Commitment (BOC) diver's watches. By purchasing one of these watches, one can contribute to the brand's commitment to protecting the oceans. Blancpain, for its part, pledges €1,000 for each watch sold, making a total of €250,000 in addition to the contributions regularly made to the various partnerships.
The Fifty Fathoms Ocean Commitment III is equipped with the automatic calibre 1151, with a 4-day power reserve and silicon balance spring. Water-resistant to 300 metres, it has a unidirectional rotating bezel in blue, the same colour used for the dial with the BOC logo at 6 o'clock. The case is in steel with a sailcloth strap and an additional Nato strap, both in matching dial and bezel colours.
Each purchaser will receive, together with their watch, a numbered copy of the Edition Fifty Fathoms book to celebrate its 10th anniversary. This special edition contains a selection of black and white underwater photographs, printed on detachable pages. It is offered together with a frame, into which one of the photographs in the book can be inserted.
