TAG Heuer presents an exclusive new version of the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph to celebrate the company's return as Official Timekeeper of the Formula 1 World Championship.

Unveiled at the Watches and Wonders 2025 in Geneva, this unprecedented split-seconds chronograph fully embodies the spirit of innovation that has been the hallmark of TAG Heuer's DNA for over 160 years.
Since its debut in 1969, the TAG Heuer Monaco has been a symbol of audacity and avant-garde design. As the first automatic wrist chronograph with a square water-resistant case, Equipped with the famous Calibre 11, the Monaco revolutionised watchmaking and became a style icon. Made famous by Steve McQueen who wore it during the filming of the 1971 film 'Le 24 Heures du Mans', this chronograph has achieved legendary status in pop culture, being associated with personalities such as Sammy Davis Jr. and Stanley Kubrick.
Inside the 41-mm white ceramic case of the new TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph | F1 beats the high-frequency automatic calibre TH81-00 (developed in collaboration with Vaucher, 36,000 vibrations per hour, power reserve between 55 and 65 hours), equipped with a column wheel. The Split-Seconds function, also known as rattrapante, allows two separate time intervals to be measured simultaneously, making it ideal for timing laps (or split times) during a race. The buttons (the one for the split-seconds function is at 9 o'clock) and the crown are also made of white ceramic.
Every detail of this movement represents the company's craftsmanship, from the hand-finished profiles to the black mirror-polished screws. The oscillating weight also features a special design, with the periphery hand-painted in red and white, reminiscent of the kerbs on Formula 1 circuits.

This new TAG Heuer split-seconds chronograph is available in only 10 numbered pieces.
The sandblasted, polished and satin-finished white ceramic case is crafted with extreme precision and hand-finished in every detail, represents a true feat of engineering. A bevelled and convex sapphire crystal protects the dial. A second sapphire crystal on the back allows one to admire the movement.
On the translucent red dial the chronograph counters (chrono minutes at 3 o'clock, chrono hours at 9 o'clock) are inspired by circuit design, with an asphalt-like finish and reference to the white and yellow starting grid squares. Also of note are the white ceramic bridges, also visible from the dial side, as well as the F1 logo at 6 o'clock.
The counters also bear the famous phrase of British commentator David Croft: 'Lights out & away we go', phrase that captures the adrenaline-fuelled anticipation of the start of each Grand Prix, becoming an integral part of the watch's identity. The new TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph | F1 is guaranteed water-resistant to 3 atmospheres and comes with a white calfskin strap with fabric-effect embossing and hand-sewn red stitching. The butterfly clasp with safety buttons is made of grade 5 titanium.
