Boutique edition for the Tourbillon Souverain by F.P. Journe with an 18-carat 6N gold case and black dial. The latter features an enamelled hour counter at 3 o'clock, as well as an 80-hour power-reserve indicator at 12 o'clock, small seconds at 6 o'clock and a remontoir d'égalité positioned at 7 o'clock. The protagonist, however, is the tourbillon which, as on the 20th anniversary model of the collection celebrated in 2019, is developed by placing the traditional horizontal cage vertically. This vertical tourbillon with remontoir and deadbeat seconds completes a complete evolution in 30 seconds, a faster rotation than the usual one minute. To visually admire the technique, a mirror-polished conical ring is carved into the plate around the cage, which concentrates the light and reflects the tourbillon cage. A second reflector is placed on the side of the movement (the hand-wound Calibre 1519) to let the light also filter around the tourbillon cage. The dial is actually a large black lacquered rose gold bridge, entirely worked in clous de Paris. The watch is only available in F.P. Journe Boutiques and Espaces worldwide.
