On 8 September, Seiko Italia inaugurated its first Italian flagship store, in Milan, more precisely at number 52 Via della Spiga, thus within the famous 'fashion quadrilateral'.
Seiko Europe General Manager Isabelle Couturet together with Filippo Nembrini, Director of Seiko Italy, and Isao Tanaka, President of Seiko Europe, cut the ribbon in the presence of representatives of the Italian press and some friends of the brand, including Simone Cremona, multiple Italian and European Padel champion.
The Japanese brand's new boutique is part of a strategic context involving the development of the retail channel and reflects the company's desire to strengthen its direct relationship with the end customer. "We are proud to be able to welcome Seiko lovers within an environment that tells the brand's values and history. For Seiko, Italy represents a strategic market, and the boutique is an important step towards the completion of our distribution," said Filippo Nembrini, Director of Seiko Italia. "We are thrilled to have opened our first flagship store in Italy. The opening in Milan had been in the brand's plans for some time; Milan is a beautiful city in which to be present, and we believe that the quadrilateral is the right location to express our universe. Our boutiques are designed to offer customers an immersive experience that guides them through our history, craftsmanship and expertise, so that they can choose the perfect watch that will accompany them in every moment of their lives," commented Isabelle Couturet, President of Seiko Europe.
In Milan, as mentioned, Seiko has chosen Via della Spiga, a very prestigious street. With two large shop windows overlooking the street, the boutique covers an area of 70 square metres on a single floor, divided into an area intended for the display of the brand's collections, Prospex, Presage, Astron and 5 Sports, as well as some timepieces proposed exclusively for Seiko boutiques. The boutique, its design and furnishing elements have been conceived as an experiential expression of the brand's universe and the values that guide its manufacture. The visitor moves through a large and bright space, where the neutral colours of the furnishings contrast with the dark base of the floor.
The timepieces are displayed inside a series of comptoirs with textures reminiscent of wood grains and steel finishes. The Seiko boutique in Milan is the brand's 14th European boutique. To date, the brand is distributed in Italy through a network of no less than 430 dealers, as well as on the website www.seikoboutique.it.
