For the tenth consecutive year, Rolex took care of the Greenroom at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, where the Oscars 2025 awards ceremony took place yesterday.
Also for the 2025 edition of the Oscars (the 97th), Rolex curated the design of the Greenroom at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, confirming its commitment to artistic excellence and the transmission of cultural heritage. The Greenroom is the space where the stars of the film industry, both the nominees and the winners, as well as the presenters, get ready before going on stage or relax between appearances during the Oscar ceremony, which took place last night.
This year Rolex has created a unique immersive experience inspired by the theme of 'rewilding' - or restoring the natural world. The design takes its cue from Rewilding Chile and Rewilding Argentina, initiatives supported by the Rolex Perpetual Planet programme. These projects are both linked to Tompkins Conservation, a non-profit foundation that aims to protect and restore biodiversity.
The sustainability-conscious décor is characterised by light fabrics and layers of tulle that reveal the contours of a mountain landscape, enhanced by diffuse lighting through transparent curtains. On display in the Greenroom was l'Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 40 18-carat Everose gold with Sundust dial, knurled bezel and President bracelet, nicknamed 'the President's Watch'.
Rolex and the world of cinema
The Geneva House can boast a deep connection with the seventh art.
The link between Rolex and cinema goes beyond mere sponsorship. In fact, since 2017, the Maison has been an Exclusive Watch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, as well as a Sponsor of the Oscars. From 2021, Rolex is also a 'Founding Supporter' and 'Official Watch' of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
In addition, Rolex supports the Student Academy Awards and the Academy100 programme, promoting excellence, education and the preservation of the art of filmmaking, as well as the development of new talent.
