The new Excalibur Spider Countach DT/X is the latest creation from Roger Dubuis x Lamborghini Squadra Corse, a collaboration that has resulted in models distinguished by highly original aesthetics and the use of avant-garde materials. This new exclusive timepiece, produced in a limited edition of 8, employs a 47 mm case made of Mineral Composite Fibre (MCF) in Bianco Siderale, the shade that Ferruccio Lamborghini specifically wanted for his Countach. This particular highly resistant material, consisting of 99.95% silica and manufactured using the intrusion moulding process (SMC), is 2.5 times lighter than ceramic and 13% lighter than SMC carbon. There are several references to the design of the new Lamborghini Countach, starting with the 'flange' visible on the dial side between the two tourbillon devices, which are inclined 90° to each other to compensate for the negative effects of the earth's gravity not only horizontally, but also vertically. The movement used is the calibre RD112 (diameter 40.8 mm, thickness 10.4 mm, 295 components, 21,600 vibrations per hour, 72-hour power reserve), mechanical with automatic winding. Completing the watch is a white rubber strap with fabric mesh inserted between the layers and equipped with a Quick Release System quick-change system.
