The irresistible mutual attraction marked the beginning of the partnership between Roger Dubuis and Pirelli. A pioneer in technical and industry innovations, Pirelli supplies exceptional racing tyres for the most important competitions in motor sport, including Formula 1. An ideal ally for Roger Dubuis, with whom it shares a corporate philosophy that has always aimed to push the boundaries, a vision in terms of radical R&D, a passion for disruptive design, as well as a spirit in total synchrony with one of the most elite clientele. The encounter between visionary engineers and extraordinary watchmakers has resulted in two new adrenaline-fuelled versions of the Excalibur Spider Pirelli, offered in two racy black DLC titanium variants, one with red accents and the other with blue details. Animated by the RD820SQ calibre, the two new Excalibur Spider Pirelli Automatic Skeleton models feature a 45 mm DLC titanium skeleton case, red and black and blue and black skeleton dial, sapphire crystal and DLC titanium back, red and black and blue and black skeleton flange with rhodium-plated indexes with Super-LumiNova, 18-carat gold hands with black PVD finish and red or blue-edged tips and Super-LumiNova luminescent. The fluted bezel in black DLC titanium with red or blue lines contrasts with the crown, also in black DLC titanium and covered in red or blue rubber, and the matching stitching on the strap. The latter, in homage to the winning spirit inscribed in the DNA of the two brands, is made of rubber from Pirelli tyres that have raced and won the season's major motorsport Grand Prix. Equipped with a quick release system that allows it to be quickly replaced - 3 seconds, like the average duration of a pit stop - the strap reproduces the characteristic Pirelli tread pattern on the inside. Awarded the Geneva Seal of Approval, both Excalibur Spider Pirelli models are produced in a limited edition of 88.
