The FIA Endurance World Championship 2021 kicked off on 26 April at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit. With its all-female trio made up of Beitske Visser, Sophia Flörsch and Tatiana Calderón, the Richard Mille-sponsored team is sure to attract the attention of fans throughout the season, making its debut in the LMP2 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). To celebrate its participation in the FIA World Endurance Championship, Richard Mille has unveiled the RM 07-01 Racing Red, produced in a limited edition of only 50. A sporty version of the iconic RM 07-01, this model sports the distinctive red of "Roxy", the Oreca-Gibson No. 1 car driven by Beitske Visser, Sophia Flörsch and Tatiana Calderón. The watch is driven by the calibre CRMA2, an automatic skeleton manufacture movement with a power reserve of around 50 hours. A great novelty for this collection is the use of a case made of Carbon TPT and Quartz TPT in the shade of red. The dial also features Carbon TPT, again enhanced by the presence of Quartz TPT in red. These are two materials conceived for extreme applications and designed to withstand the great stresses inside the cockpit. Thanks to its harmonious aesthetics, its ultra-light materials and its curved case that combines resistance and comfort in all situations, the three representatives of the Richard Mille Racing Team will wear the RM 07-01 Racing Red on their wrists both in competition and in their daily lives. The special features of the movement used in the watch (visible from the back thanks to the adoption of a sapphire window) include the grade 5 titanium plate and bridges, the free-sprung balance with variable inertia, the fast-rotating barrel and the rotor with variable geometry. The case, for its part, made in three parts, is water-resistant to 50 metres, thanks to two nitrile O-rings. It is assembled with 12 grade 5 titanium slotted-head screws and abrasion-resistant 316L steel washers.
