Richard Mille expands the RM 07-01 Automatic collection

The RM 07-01 Automatic Starry Night features a special setting, depicting a starry sky. In addition, the RM 07-01 Automatic is now also offered with a charming gourmette bracelet in gold and Carbon TPT. Two new models, therefore, that place the focus on a material that is rich in technology, light and at the same time resistant. This is Carbon TPT, which provides ideal protection for the movement while at the same time offering a very attractive appearance with damask effects and moiré motifs. The RM 07-01 Automatic Starry Night features a claw setting of stones, arranged to depict a constellation on the bezel and dial. With the "Starry Night" setting, the company confirms its expertise in working with Carbon TPT. Unlike gold, which allows the craftsman to intervene with his own tools to make the prongs for attaching the diamonds, the hardness and resistance of Carbon TPT require specific CNC machines equipped with diamond milling machines to perform the crimping function. Separately manufactured, hand-polished 5N red gold bezels are then set into the different diameter housings to firmly 'trap' the 181 diamonds of different sizes. Exalted by the combination of the two materials, the RM 07-01 Automatic for its part presents a completely new interpretation of the gourmette bracelet, with the links intertwining Carbon TPT with 5N red gold, all finished by hand. A voluptuous bracelet, combining matt and shiny effects with flexibility and extreme resistance. A Carbon TPT bezel and back underline the central part of the 5N red gold case. These two new models have all the technical features typical of the RM 07-01 collection. They are both powered by the IWC-manufactured CRMA2 calibre, a skeleton automatic movement with hour and minute display and equipped with a variable geometry rotor.
