Premio Argò 2007

Great success in attendance for the fourteenth edition of the

ARGÒ AWARD FOR WATCHMAKING.

The presentation of prizes, awarded by the magazines

THE CLOCK and CHRONO WORLD

to the best timepieces of 2007 took place on 18 March 2008

in Villafranca di Verona, at the

Nicolis Museum - of the car of mechanical engineering.

Introducing the ceremony for the presentation of the ARGÒ AWARD FOR CLOCKWRITING, Renato Giussani, managing director of Argò srl, which publishes the magazines L'OROLOGIO, CHRONO WORLD and LIFESTYLE, emphasised the publishing house's new international commitment with the publication L'OROLOGIO HAUTE HORLOGERIE, distributed by subscription in 115 countries around the world.

The awards were presented by the editor-in-chief of L'OROLOGIO Dody Giussani, representing the editors of L'OROLOGIO and CHRONO WORLD magazines. The prizes were collected by the managers of the companies whose timepieces won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the five rankings of the 2007 Argò Prize: Technical, Single Time, Chronograph, Sporty, Ladies.

The numerous guests, managers of the award-winning watch manufacturers and simple watchmaking enthusiasts, were able to visit the Nicolis Museum's collection of over 200 cars under the valuable guidance of the founder and owner, Luciano Nicolis.

The rankings for the ARGÒ AWARD FOR WATCHWARE are drawn up by the editors of L'OROLOGIO and CHRONO WORLD magazines, based on the nominations indicated by readers, either through the ballots published monthly by the magazines or through the publisher's website (www.argoeditore.net).

The silver trophies were made by the company Negri Gioielli in Rome (www.titonegri.it).
