One of the most significant pieces celebrating IWC's 150th anniversary is also a first for the company: the first wristwatch with a digital jumping display. In the pocket version, the manufacturer had already offered it in 1884 (the historic Pallweber watches). In the new model, a novel, patent-pending solution has been developed: whereas in the Pallweber the discs of the digital display were driven by gear wheels with indentations, in this case the individual minute disc is advanced by a separate gear train equipped with an individual barrel. Thanks to this system, the driving force of the watch's normal gear train is not affected, guaranteeing a high level of precision and an impressive 60 hours of autonomy when fully wound. It is a limited edition of 250 with a red gold case and the IWC 94200 manual calibre.
