Combining the aesthetic value of an object with its technical and functional component: this is the main objective of Bauhaus, and the automatic watches in the new 1919 collection by Porsche Design are inspired by it. Datetimer Series 1 and Globetimer Series 1, time-only and GMT respectively, are the two models on offer and are available in a variety of versions. Both focus on minimalism, as is evident from the clean lines of the dial, in favour of clarity in the time displays. Balanced aesthetics are ensured by the structure of the case and, in particular, by the openings visible at the attachment point of the strap. The model equipped with a second time zone indicates both local time and home time at the same time: in the area below the hour markers is the 24-hour ring, indicated by a hand with a coloured triangular tip, and the 24 world time zones are displayed on the case back. The entire collection is on sale in Porsche Design flagship shops and at selected retailers.
