Perrelet launches a new Turbine in a chrono version, characterised by the absence of the classic supplementary counters.
Made of grade 2 titanium, the Turbine Chrono Neo by Perrelet features a 42 mm case (a reduction from the 47 mm of its predecessor) with a polished and satin finish. The bezel with engraved tachymeter scale, personalised crown and pump pushers are treated with black DLC.
Perrelet's new Turbine Chrono Neo is powered by the automatic P-361 calibre (ETA-based, 28,800 vibrations per hour), an automatic mechanical movement (visible from the back thanks to a sapphire glass porthole) that guarantees a 42-hour power reserve. Equipped with an Incabloc shockproof system, the calibre features perlage and côtes de Genève decorations. The rotor is skeletonised and personalised.
On the dial is one of Perrelet's signatures, the 12-blade 'turbine', a technology patented by the company since 2009. Made of black anodised aluminium, the turbine rotates with the slightest movement of the wrist, revealing an elaborate decoration on the lower dial.
Turbine Chrono Neo: three colour versions
This chronograph is also notable for the absence of the classic chronograph counters.
The central chrono minutes hand, with its triangular tip, offers instant legibility of the minutes. Also in the centre is the chrono seconds hand, while the date window is positioned at 6 o'clock.
Facetted hands and SuperLuminova luminescent Arabic numeral indices ensure optimal visibility in all lighting conditions. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with an interior and exterior anti-reflective treatment.
Another noteworthy feature is the 'quick release' system, which allows the titanium bracelet to be easily changed with a rubber strap supplied (with pin buckle) and matched to the colour of the dial, without the use of tools. The bracelet is fitted with a personalised butterfly clasp with safety button.
Perrelet's Turbine Chrono Neo is available in three colour variants, namely with an electric blue sub-dial (Ref. A4072/1), grass green (Ref. A4072/2) or light grey with red details (Ref. A4072/3). Water resistance is guaranteed up to a pressure of 5 atmospheres. The new Turbine Chrono Neo will be available from September.
