Turbine Perrelet x seconde-seconde

Perrelet presents a new Turbine, created in collaboration with French artist seconde/seconde/ (stage name of Romain André). It is not the first time that second/second/ has collaborated with a watch brand. Suffice it to mention the models made in collaboration with Timex, Frederique Constant, Nivada, Louis Erard, H. Moser & Cie. and Vulcain, to name but a few. The new Turbine Perrelet x second/second/, for its part, is distinguished by an all-black aesthetic, where yellow details reminiscent of industrial signage stand out.

The most distinctive element is the replacement of the traditional seconds hand with the 'Keep Hands Clear' signal (written in full at 6 o'clock). Also on the dial, at 12 o'clock, is the inscription "1777 days since last injury", an ironic reference to the year the Maison was founded, playing with safety signs typical of industrial environments.

The 41 mm case is made of black Dlc-treated grade 2 titanium and houses the calibre P-331-MH, an in-house mechanical automatic movement with Cosc and Chronofiable certificate, which offers a 42-hour power reserve and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 100 metres.

On the back of the watch, the phrase 'I truly love art. But it will always come second. And safety first'.

The P-331-MH calibre is visible from the back side, thanks to the use of an anti-reflective sapphire crystal porthole on which a quote in English for second/second/ is placed, which translated into Italian means: 'I really love art. But it will always come second. And safety first'. On the same case back is also the progressive numbering for the limited edition.

The iconic turbine visible on the dial side (protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal), composed of 12 black anodised aluminium blades, rotates following the movements of the wrist. The finishing touches are meticulous down to the last detail, from the flange with embossed indexes and Arabic numerals to the white central hands, all SuperLuminova luminescent elements. The black rubber strap is combined with a black Dlc-treated, customised titanium pin buckle.

Price5,180 euro.
