PAM00998Opaque green makes an incursion on the dial of four emblematic and unprecedented Radiomir watches, available exclusively in the brand's boutiques. Inherently matt, as it is discreet and elusive by necessity and conception. Strictly monochrome, as it was adopted with the specific need to blend in with its surroundings whatever takes on its hue. And therefore tactical. Pushed propensities of a colour, dark green in its most solid and material codification, historically strategic and well recognised. To the point of shaking off the more generic chromatic definition to take on the declaredly specific qualification of military green. An identifying tone chosen by Panerai to take possession of the dial of four new Radiomirs. Four interpretations, explicitly personal in terms of functions, dimensions and constituent materials, but ideally welded together by a visual code of common recognition, as well as by the aesthetic language of a cushion-shaped case with integrated, massive lugs, typical of "evolved" Radiomirs dating back to the 1940s. Temporal localisation attesting to Panerai's full activity as the sole supplier of wristwatches to the Regia Marina, enlisted with indispensable functions as precision instruments for the assault corps. A military inclination which remained latent and which now returns manifest, in civilian clothes, in three 45 mm models in AISI 316L steel and one 48 mm model in micro-sand-blasted black ceramic. The green, dense and lacking in reflections, becomes a bonding and unifying element, as much as the sapphire crystal with accentuated doming, the beige luminescent pigmentation, and the Italian-tanned natural leather straps. Historical heritage, capitalised, re-presented and amplified. Shared in uniformity, the new Radiomir with a green dial stand out from a mechanical point of view thanks to a diversified battery of calibres rigorously produced in-house, an exclusive supply from the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel. Starting with the P.4000 calibre, which offers hour and minute indication with small seconds, Panerai's thinnest automatic movement, entrusted to the Radiomir - 45 mm (PAM00995). It is flanked by the P.4001, an evolved solution to provide the additional information of a second time zone, an AM/PM display and a power reserve display on the caseback side, in the Radiomir GMT - 45 mm (PAM00998). Mechanics further modified in the P.4002 version, to bring the power reserve indicator on the dial side, a specification reserved for the Radiomir GMT Power Reserve - 45 mm (PAM00999). Automatic movements, with bidirectional off-centre micro-rotor in tungsten alloy and 3-day autonomy. The Radiomir - 48 mm, equipped with the P.3000 calibre with hours, minutes and small seconds display, is the only one to enjoy the authorisation of a hand-wound mechanical movement. Water-resistant to 10 bar (approximately 100 metres deep) and housed in a satin-finished green cherry wood case, the new Radiomir comes with an additional strap as original equipment. In beige canvas for the steel versions, black for the ceramic version, with double loops and functional reinforcing inserts at the holes in green leather.
