Now available exclusively in Panerai boutiques is the new Radiomir 1940 3 Days, featuring a dial with an exclusive new workmanship that recalls the particular nuances of the sea. Indeed, the reflections of light penetrating the depths of the sea create a chromatic spectacle that has always fascinated and surprised the human spirit. No colour like blue has the power to evoke infinity, because of its natural association with the sky and the sea and the countless evocative shades it can take on. The new dial of the Radiomir 1940 3 Days seems to want to capture these infinite nuances and this intensity, through refined satiné soleil workmanship and thanks to the use of different shades of blue, shaded on the dial so as to have a more intense colour on the outside in correspondence with the hour-markers, which are thus also more legible, and lighter in the centre. The new Radiomir 1940 3 Days is available in five versions that differ in size, materials and functions. The Radiomir 1940 cushion-shaped case that unites all the models, strong and solid but with a sleek and linear design, is available in AISI 316L steel (in 42 mm, 45 mm or 47 mm sizes) or in an elegant red gold (45 mm) whose hue blends beautifully with the matte blue of the dial. On the case back of each model, an original workmanship allows a glimpse of the movement through sinuous designs reminiscent of the waves of the sea, and realised through a metallisation process on the sapphire crystal of the case back. All five models in the new Radiomir 1940 3 Days series are equipped with a calibre made in-house by the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel, located in the heart of the region with the oldest watchmaking tradition in the world. The self-winding model is available in versions with hours, minutes and small seconds as well as in versions enhanced with other useful functions. The two solotempo creations, in steel (PAM00933) or in red gold (PAM00934), are animated by the P.4000 automatic calibre, a refined concentrate of watchmaking technique characterised by a bidirectional off-centre micro-rotor (in 22-carat red gold in the gold version, in tungsten in the steel version) that allows up to three days' autonomy. Two other creations are powered by the P.4001 and P.4002 calibres, developed from the P.4000 but with a date display, GMT function and power reserve indicator on the back (PAM00945) or on the dial (PAM00946). Finally, for lovers of the ritual of manual winding, there is a version equipped with the P.3000 calibre, with a three-day power reserve. This model (PAM00932), is the largest (47 mm), essential and classic of the entire series, with its slightly domed sapphire crystal protecting a dial of absolute simplicity and cleanliness. The Radiomir 1940 3 Days in steel are water-resistant to 10 atmospheres (about 100 metres depth) while the one in red gold has a limit of 5 atmospheres. They all come with a blue alligator strap, which perfectly matches the colour of the dial, with contrasting beige stitching that recalls the colour of the luminescent substance used on the indexes. They are sold in an elegant blue lacquered cherry wood case, inside of which there is also a reserve strap, in blue rubber or blue fabric for the 42 mm case model.
