Panerai is sponsoring the exhibition "Dolce Vita? From Art Nouveau to Italian Design", which runs until 13 September 2015 at the Musée d'Orsay in Paris. The exhibition is dedicated to Italian design and art from the period between 1900 and 1940. The 1940s, in particular, were characterised by the works of the great masters of Italian design. The creative and ingenious minds of Giò Ponti, Pininfarina, and the brothers Livio and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, together with companies such as Olivetti, Fiat and Alfa Romeo, contributed to the spread of a lively spirit of invention throughout the world and to the triumph of Made in Italy on an international level. At the same time in Florence, the modernist movement found expression in the innovative designs of the Panerai workshops thanks to the work of engineers engaged in the creation of watches used by divers in the Italian Navy. Thus it was that the Radiomir and Luminor models became great icons of Italian design. A link, that with the world of design, which also resurfaces in the Maison's current production.
