Panerai introduces a new steel alloy, eSteel, used for the 44mm case and dial. This is an advance that represents a further step in Panerai's efforts to reduce the need for virgin material extraction and the associated high environmental impact. Specifically, 89 grams of the Luminor Marina eSteel's components, corresponding to 58.4% of the watch's total weight (or 152.4 grams), are produced from recycled materials. The dial is available in emerald green, deep blue or rock grey and is paired with a matching recycled PET strap. The movement used is the IWC-manufactured P.9010 calibre, mechanical with automatic winding and a 3-day power reserve. Water resistance is guaranteed up to 30 atmospheres.
