Out Of Order and the Pisa 1940 watchmaker in Milan announce an interesting collaboration involving an exclusive customer service.
Out of Order, an Italian brand founded in 2013 and known for its unconventional approach to watch design, has announced a prestigious collaboration with Pisa 1940, a historic Milanese company and reference point for haute horlogerie and jewellery in Italy and around the world.
This partnership introduces an exclusive service for Pisa 1940 watchmaking customers. In fact, anyone who entrusts their timepiece for repair to Pisa 1940 will receive for temporary use an Out of Order watch created specifically for this partnership. In particular, this watch has a 40 mm steel case subjected to the company's exclusive patented ageing process, while the unidirectional rotating bezel has a hand-brushed aluminium ring.
The movement used is the Seiko NH35 calibre, mechanical automatic, and on the dial in stabilised rust (the brand's patented procedure) are SuperLuminova luminescent hands and indices. The date window opens at 3 o'clock and the strap is in aged leather.
Out Of Order: the courtesy clock for Pisa 1940
An innovative service for Milanese watchmaking customers.
A distinctive feature of the courtesy watch made by Out Of Order for Pisa 1940 is the absence of company logos on the dial, where instead the words 'Not for sale' in SuperLuminova appear at 6 o'clock. The screw-down case back is engraved with the signature of the collaboration while the flange bears the phrase 'Please, treat me bad', symbolising the Italian brand's 'Damaged in Italy' mantra.
This initiative is therefore a concrete example of how two realities can work together to offer an innovative service that enhances every moment of the customer experience, turning anticipation into value.
'Our collaboration with Pisa 1940 is a source of great pride,' said Riccardo Torrisi, co-founder of Out of Order. "We conceived a model with a bold and distinctive appeal that reflects the values of both our companies: attention to detail, uncompromising quality and uniqueness.
Chiara Pisa, CEO of Pisa 1940, added: 'Pisa 1940 started as a laboratory, so technical support is part of our DNA. That's why we want to make the experience of those who entrust their watches to our care as rich and enjoyable as possible, also through a courtesy watch that you can wear, while waiting to pick up your own, with light-heartedness and ease'.
