Eighth world record for Bulgari

Do you know how many world records Bulgari has set thanks to the Octo Finissimo collection? As many as eight, all in the field of ultra-thin watchmaking. Today the House celebrates its eighth world record with the Octo Finissimo Ultra: the thinnest mechanical watch in the world, just 1.80 mm thick.

It uses a 40 mm sandblasted titanium case with an integrated bracelet. The indications on the dial see the hours and minutes off-centred to the right, and the small seconds at 6 o'clock. The calibre used is the BVL 180 (170 components, 28,800 vib/h), a hand-wound mechanical movement with a 50-hour power reserve.

The most original feature that catches the eye is the unique QR-Code engraved on the barrel spool. The smartphone-readable code opens the door to a place where every Octo Finissimo Ultra owner will find a world dedicated to their watch, its design and history. This exclusive space contains interviews, making-of images, a 3D virtual tour of the movement and an exploration of the watch's concept of the visible and invisible.
Each of the ten owners of the Octo Finissimo Ultra will receive an exclusive NFT work guaranteeing the authenticity of the timepiece and the link with its owner.

As part of the 10th anniversary of Octo, Bulgari also presented two special editions, whose dials go back to the watch's origins, featuring the first sketches made by Bulgari's Executive Director of Product Creation, Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani. Those pencil drawings are now engraved on the dials of the two flagship models - the Octo Finissimo Automatic and the Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Automatic - both made of titanium.

Price of the Bulgari Finissimo Ultra: 440,000 euros (limited edition of 10 pieces).
