The collaboration between Oris and the Muppets continues: this time the protagonist is Miss Piggy.
After the ProPilot X Kermit Edition presented two years ago, which featured the Muppets character of the same name, this year Oris dedicates a new ProPilot to Miss Piggy, another famous character from the puppet group of the same name created by Jim Henson.
However, if in the model dedicated to Kermit the eponymous character peeped smilingly into the date window at 6 o'clock every first of the month (i.e. 'Kermit Day', an invitation to make people smile), Miss Piggy is positioned on the back of the new ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition.
In particular, the image of the famous Muppets character is shown through a small circular opening in mineral glass, which reveals the effigy of Miss Piggy, who appears and disappears on the lilac rotor as it rotates. The case used is made of steel and has a diameter of 34 mm and is combined with a bracelet made of the same material, with a folding clasp equipped with a security system.
The Oris ProPilot for Miss Piggy: bright pink dial
A diamond also makes an appearance on the dial.
The choice for the colour of the dial, very basic, fell on a very bright pink colour, tending to fuchsia, with bar indices in the same colour and a baguette-cut diamond positioned at 12 o'clock. All protected by a curved anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
The new Oris ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition is driven by the Oris calibre 531 (Sellita-based, 28,800 vibrations per hour), mechanical self-winding movement that ensures a 42-hour power reserve. With a screw-down (as well as protected and customised) case back and crown, the ProPilot X Miss Piggy Edition is guaranteed waterproof to a pressure of 10 atmospheres (100 metres).
