Oris - Aquis Depth Gauge

Oris Aquis Depth Gauge

The Aquis Depth Gauge from Oris uses the scientific principles of the Boyle-Mariotte law to measure depth during a dive. The watch's patented system works by allowing water to enter through a hole cut in the sapphire crystal at 12 o'clock and a channel milled around the outer edge of the crystal. This creates a filigree that corresponds to a depth gauge, indicated in yellow on the dial. The new Aquis Depth Gauge has three key improvements over the previous version: the aforementioned depth gauge system (which has been refined to increase its accuracy and readability); the case back has been redesigned so that the metre-feet conversion graph is always set at 90 degrees to the 12 o'clock position; and the new patented Oris Quick Strap Change system, which allows the steel bracelet and rubber strap to be changed quickly and safely, without the need for any tools. The watch has a steel case with a diameter of 45.8 mm and a unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert. The movement used is the Oris calibre 733 (25.60 mm diameter, 26 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour, 38-hour power reserve), mechanical with automatic winding. On the black dial, there are Super-LumiNova luminescent hands and indices, as well as a date window at 6 o'clock and a peripheral depth gauge. The new Oris Aquis Depth Gauge is available with a steel bracelet or a black rubber strap.
Price: 3,500 euros (with steel bracelet); 3,400 euros (with rubber strap).
