In collaboration with the Antica Orologeria Candido Operti, Chanel presented its latest creations and a selection of precious jewellery-watches on Sunday 26 July. The location chosen for the occasion was the Pullman Timi Ama Sardegna hotel in Villasimius, where the Cagliari-based company has been present since 2013 with a major jewellery and watch exhibition. One of the stars of last week's event was the J12 collection, with limited and special edition models: equipped with an automatic movement, these watches are distinguished by a bezel decorated with a row of baguette-cut diamonds or sapphires. Among the watches in the Première collection, on the other hand, there were also high-tech ceramic models, white or black, in sparkling versions with 268 diamonds on the bezel and bracelet. Also present was the Mademoiselle Privé collection, an expression of high know-how and exceptional creativity. An example of this is the Décor Camelia model, distinguished by the use of the Japanese maki-e enamelling technique on the black enamel dial, where specks of yellow gold form the pattern of three camellias. Another watch on display from the same collection was the Comète model, where a star-shaped seconds indicator in titanium and diamonds makes one complete revolution of the dial every 60 seconds. The watch is powered by an automatic movement produced by the Swiss manufacture Dubois-Dépraz. The presentation event, which opened with a cocktail by the pool, took place on Sunday 26 July, but the collections will remain on display at the Antica Orologeria Candido Operti throughout August.
