The annual charity auction Only Watch, which took place on 6 November, raised CHF 30 million (€28.5 million) this year, funds that will be donated to research against Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The auction, held under the aegis of Christie's and organised by Luc Pettavino, took place at the Palexpo in Geneva and was attended by 850 collectors from 25 countries, who bought 54 unique watches offered by 53 different watch brands. Once again, it was a Patek Philippe that garnered the highest auction sum: this was the Complicated Desk Watch, which fetched an impressive 9.5 million Swiss francs. In second place was the F.P. Journe x Francis Ford Coppola FFC Blue, with the sum of 4.5 million Swiss francs and in third place the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak "Jumbo" in titanium with 3.1 million Swiss francs. This was followed by the Richard Mille RM 67-02 Charles Leclerc prototype version with 2.1 million Swiss francs and the De Bethune x Kari Voutilainen Kind of Magic with 1.3 million Swiss francs. Over the course of nine editions to date, Only Watch has raised more than 100 million Swiss francs.
