Omega pays homage to the 37th America's Cup with a new instrument watch designed for sailing: the Seamaster Regatta, heir to the Speedmaster X-33 line.
She returned again this year to cover her role as Official Timekeeper of the 37th edition of the America's Cup, Omegawhich has been linked to the Emirates New Zealand team since 1995, used to accompany the world's most famous regatta with a series of dedicated watches. The tradition continues with the Seamaster Regatta, a professional model for sailors equipped with an analogue and digital display.
"Our new Seamaster Regatta belongs to the same watch line as the Speedmaster X-33. It is a multifunctional instrument to wear on the wrist. As its name suggests, it is a watch designed for sailors. We chose the perfect moment for its launch: the great regatta in Barcelona is sure to inspire sailors the world over and this watch is designed to meet their expectations, said Omega CEO Raynald Aeschlimann. At At the end of the 1990s, the Speedmaster X-33 marked the birth of a new series of quartz multifunction chronographs developed under the guidance of General Tom Stafford, former Nasa astronaut on Apollo X. With the new Regatta model, Omega introduces a Seamaster to the X-33 family for the first time.
Seamaster Regatta: easy-to-read analogue and digital display
The various functions of Omega's new regatta watch include moon phase, chronograph, logbook, temperature indicator, accelerometer and regatta chronograph.
Omega's Seamaster Regatta is a model that, like all X-33s, has a case made of grade 5 titanium. A material that, despite its large diameter of 46.75 mm, makes it lighter on the wrist. It is an instrument designed for experiencing the sea. On the dial, which mixes analogue and digital indications with an LCD display, you can read the various functions: moon phase, chronograph, logbook, temperature indicator, accelerometer and regatta chronograph.
The hands, inspired by the Seamaster Diver 300M, can be removed from the display in backlit mode to enhance digital readability. Functions are controlled by the four push-buttons, one red and three blue, all made of rubber for ease of use at sea. The Seamaster Regatta also includes three alarms. The sound is enhanced by a wave-pattern back designed according to the principles of Helmholtz resonance, on which the embossed logo of the 37th America's Cup is engraved.

The bracelet quick-change system is patented by Omega.
Waterproof up to 50 metres, The Seamaster Regatta is equipped with a bidirectional bezel with a polished blue ceramic ring and a blue rubber strap with Omega's patented quick-change system. The quartz movement is Calibre 5701. This analogue-digital movement has a battery life of 30 months.
