The Bienne-based watchmaker presents three new Seamaster Aqua Terra, featuring a black lacquered dial and available in three case sizes.
The black dial can be considered a true watchmaking classic, often considered the expression of the most sober and essential elegance, especially in the three-ball models, with or without a date display. Omega therefore decided to celebrate this traditional design element with the launch of three Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M, available in sizes of 34, 38 or 41 mm case, and equipped with glossy black dials with a lacquered finish.
The Seamaster Aqua Terra collection is certainly the most understated within Omega's dive model range. The three models visible here are powered by manufacture Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibres and they all use a steel case and bracelet.
Models with 38 and 41 mm cases use trapezoidal hour markers and a date window, while the one with the 34 mm case has hull-shaped hour markers and a circular date window. Another small difference is the absence of the sexagesimal scale for the 34 mm case model.
In all cases, hands and indices are treated with a luminescent substance. The sapphire glass protection of the dial is always sapphire and subjected to an external and internal anti-reflective treatment.
New Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra with black dial: manufacture calibres
All three of these new Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra employ METAS-certified Master Chronometer movements.
In particular The 34- and 38-mm case models use the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8800, while the 41-mm case model uses the 8900 calibre. They are all equipped with silicon spiral and are insensitive to magnetic fields up to 15,000 Gauss.
The power reserve is 60 hours for the 8900 calibre and 55 hours for the 8800. All three Seamaster Aqua Terras feature a three-row steel bracelet, with polished central links and satin-finished side links, with a personalised double folding clasp equipped with a double safety button. Water resistance is guaranteed for all three up to 15 atmospheres of pressure (150 metres). Finally, Omega offers a 5-year warranty for these Seamaster Aqua Terra.
