Omega can count on numerous ambassadors in the world of Olympic sports, both Italian and international, some of whom have already triumphed in Paris 2024.
Omega holds this year, for the 31st time, the important and prestigious role of Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games. The House will also cover the same role in the Paralympic Games, also scheduled in Paris, from 28 August to 8 September. The Olympic Games, on the other hand, kicked off on 26 July and will end on 11 August.
These days, some of Omega's ambassadors were able to rejoice by standing on the podium in their respective disciplines. Among them, the swimmer Thomas Ceccon, who won the gold medal in the 100 metres backstroke on 29 July, first Italian in history to succeed in such a feat. The Italian champion had already won a bronze medal in the 4×100 metre freestyle relay in Paris 2024. Ceccon, who was born in 2001, is now a certainty in world swimming, having also triumphed in the past in three world championships and four short-tub world championships. At the Olympic Games, he had already won a silver and bronze medal at Tokyo 2020. In addition, Ceccon is also the 100-metre backstroke world record holder.
Also on 29 July, another Omega ambassador, French swimmer Léon Marchand, won gold in the 400 metres mixed, also setting a new Olympic record with a time of 4:02.95. This record had held since 2008 and belonged to the American champion Michael Phelps. On 31 July, Marchand won two more gold medals and also set two more Olympic records. The disciplines involved were the 200 metre butterfly and the 200 metre breaststroke. Marchand's feat is truly incredible, as he is the first athlete in the world to win two Olympic gold medals on the same day. Moreover, these successes came within the space of just two hours.

The former won the bronze medal in the 800 metres freestyle, while Fiamingo, together with Giulia Rizzi, Alberta Santuccio and Mara Navarria, won one historic gold in fencing, in the women's team epee discipline.
Of note is the fact that Paltrinieri is the first Italian to win an Olympic medal in three consecutive editions of the Games. Fiamingo, for her part, defeated the hosts France together with her teammates in the final, with a score of 30 to 29 during the extra minute.
Finally, Omega ambassadors also include Gianmarco Tamberi and Bebe Vio. The former, reigning Olympic gold medallist in the high jump, will compete in Paris on 7 August.
