The latest collaboration between Kross Studio, a Swiss design studio founded in 2020 with the vocation of creating unprecedented art objects destined for the most demanding collectors, and Warner Bros. Consumer Products celebrates the animated film Space Jam: A New Legacy, released in US theatres last July, simultaneously with the HBO Max streaming platform. In the cast LeBron James (in the role that 25 years was Michael Jordan), surrounded by many other NBA stars and especially the full cast of Looney Tunes. The watch, in a limited edition of just 10 pieces, embodies the precision and sporting style of the world of basketball and is equipped with the hand-wound mechanical KS 7'000 calibre, developed and produced in-house by Kross Studio: the regulator occupies a place of honour in the centre, inside the tourbillon cage located at the top of an oversized barrel (ensuring a 5-day power reserve) and topped by a cover that recalls the typical lines of a basketball. All around, on the hour band, the Tune Squad characters are engraved. The hands have been placed on a peripheral display mechanism that orbits 360° around the tourbillon. The case is in 45 mm titanium with a sapphire crystal dome. Winding and resetting the time is done via a ring crown on the back and the "Time Set" button located at 3 o'clock on the case middle. The watch is delivered with two interchangeable straps, one in blue calfskin and the other in orange rubber, which can be easily changed thanks to quick-release pushers located on the edge of the caseback. Also included is an oak and aluminium sculpture, which in its shape resembles a basketball and is equipped with a compartment for storing the watch. Price: 100,000 Swiss francs.
