New Millenary for Audemars Piguet

It is the Millenary Frosted Gold Philosophique, a women's watch whose aesthetics are inspired by 17th century single-hand timepieces. The 18-carat pink or white gold case features alternating satin and Frosted Gold finishes, a technique that Audemars Piguet owes to Florentine jewellery designer Carolina Bucci and that produces a diamond-dust-like effect thanks to the micro-hammering of the metal. The transparent back reveals the oscillating weight whose coloured surfaces recall the hand-crafted colour ripples of the dial, in shades of brown or blue. The single hour hand is polished and satin-finished. This watch, which enriches the current collection of hand-wound timepieces, is equipped with Calibre 3140, a new self-winding movement with a patented mechanism that moves the hand around the dial following an elliptical trajectory. The hour wheel matches perfectly with a transparent disc positioned on the dial, on which the single hand is mounted. This allows the hand to follow a clear trajectory despite the elliptical case. This model is available in Audemars Piguet boutiques only at a price of 30,500 euros.
