Nostas Roma has a well-defined identity, thanks to its distinctive design and high-quality technical content, at an extremely competitive price.
Over the last five years, Italian watchmaking has made giant strides. In numerical terms, we are still far from the economic boom period of the 1950s and 1960s, when there were dozens of Italian manufacturers, but in terms of technical quality and design, the level is rising rapidly. As always, the Watches of Italy show is one of the best opportunities to get to know the latest innovations and Nostas Roma, last year at its first participation, is one of the most interesting.
Born in 2019 from the impulse of the very young Francesco De Angelis Nostas, a 27-year-old designer from Rome, in a short time the Nostas Roma brand started production of its Audace collection born in September 2023.
The design revolves around an octagonal case with a round bezel that is both novel and familiar at the same time. The three models in the collection share the shape of the case (but not the size), the design of the bracelet and the pattern of the dial, decorated with a small triangle motif.
Versions and colour variants
Several nuances are available for each of the models in the Audace collection.
The Audace GMT, available in 5 colour combinationsIt has a 39 mm case with a ceramic or steel bezel, is pressure-resistant to 20 atmospheres and is equipped with a Seiko NH 34 calibre.
The 39 mm diameter and 11.15 mm thick solotempo comes in four colours (blue, green, brown and black) and also withstands a pressure of 20 atmospheres, but is fitted with a Sellita SW 200 self-winding calibre.
Finally, it is striking the Audace 500, a high-performance diver resistant to a pressure of 50 atmosphereswith 43 mm case, helium escape valve and Sellita calibre SW 200, in three colours inspired by the shades of the sea at different depths.
