NOMOS Glashütte takes the opportunity to admire seven planets of the Solar System in the sky at the same time to present four new Club Campuses.
Next 28 February Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune will appear in the sky at the same time after sunset. A great planetary alignment, a situation in which all planets will be on the same side of the Sun, can then be witnessed.
Taking a cue from this fairly rare occurrence, NOMOS Glashütte ha launched two new versions of its entry-level model, the Club Campus, called night sky and starlight, each available in two case sizes, 36 or 38.5 mm. The thickness is between 8.2 and 8.5 mm.
The dial features a mixture of bar, Roman and Arabic numeral indices, while the colours chosen evoke the atmosphere of the firmament. The Club Campus night sky features a deep blue dial, while the starlight dial employs a bright yellow hue. The hands and indexes are luminescent and the small seconds counter appears at 6 o'clock.
NOMOS Glashütte Club Campus: Manufacture Calibre
It is the Alpha calibre, entirely designed and manufactured in the German company's factories.
The steel case houses the hand-wound Alpha manufacture calibre (21,600 vibrations per hour, 43-hour power reserve), entirely designed and manufactured in the NOMOS Glashütte factories. The decorations include blued screws, bridges with Glashütte ribbon motifs and a plate finished with perlage.
The watch is available with a closed steel back (which can be personalised with an engraving) or with a porthole in sapphire crystal (in the latter case, 200 euros must be added to the sales price). Other noteworthy features are the curved sapphire crystal protecting the dial and the guaranteed water resistance up to the pressure of 10 atmospheres.
