For more classic timepieces, white is probably the most suitable dial colour. However, coloured dials can also have their appeal, even in combination with timepieces with a sober and elegant design. One example of this are the NOMOS Glashütte models shown here, which sport dials in more sober shades (such as white or grey) as well as dials in brighter colours such as orange, yellow, plum or pink. All powered by mechanical manufacture movements, we have selected eight models, starting with the Orion with its olive green dial and gold hands. The case is in steel, 40.5 mm, and houses the calibre DUW 6101, mechanical automatic (price €3,420).
We continue with the precious Lux Zikade, with a white and yellow dial. This watch is fitted with an 18-carat yellow gold case measuring 34 × 38.5 mm and is driven by the DUW 2002 calibre, mechanical with manual winding (price: €13,800). Dedicated to the fairer sex is the Orion 33 with its pink dial and 33 mm diameter steel case. Inside beats the Alpha calibre, mechanical with manual winding (price: €1,720). It has a beautiful plum-coloured dial (with power reserve indication), on the other hand, the Tetra visible in the gallery below, which employs a square 29.5 mm lat steel case and is animated by the calibre DUW 4301, mechanical with manual winding (price: €2,140). The Tangente (one of NOMOS' best-sellers) with a white dial and surrounded by coloured crayons, for its part, can be seen in a photo taken by artist and illustrator Sarah Illenberger. With a 38 mm steel case, it is powered by the Alpha calibre, a manual mechanical movement. The Club Campus 38 Future Orange, on the other hand, has a 36 mm steel case and a grey suede strap. Here, too, the movement used is the Alpha calibre (price €1,110). The same watch is also available in a version called Absolute Grey, with a grey dial (identical price). Last but not least, there is the Minimatik, with a 35.5 mm steel case and a beautiful champagne dial. Inside beats the DUW 3001 calibre, mechanical with automatic winding (price €3,000).
