NOMOS Glashütte - Tangent Collection

For 175 years, exclusive manufactory-made timepieces have been produced in Glashütte, a small mountain town in the beautiful landscapes of the Ore Mountains in Saxony. Glashütte is both a centre of expertise and an exciting destination for lovers of fine watchmaking. This is also where the Tangente collection from NOMOS Glashütte comes from, consisting of watches with a stainless steel case and clear-cut lugs to which the elegant leather strap is attached. The flat glass blends harmoniously with the dial, a distinctive feature that makes the timepiece highly recognisable. However, the most recognisable feature of Tangente remains the iconic typography: 2, 4, 8, 10 and 12. Every second digit and the six o'clock are replaced by indices. "Less is more": the words of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe fit this watch perfectly. Sapphire glass on the top as well as on the bottom, stainless steel, Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan leather (the most sought-after equine leather in the world), brass, silver, rubies: these are the materials used to make the watch and its calibre. Tangente is available in over 20 versions: larger, smaller, manual or automatic winding. The range also includes a sports version with a metal bracelet. Starting at €1,120. Finally, NOMOS Glashütte, one of the few independent watchmakers, celebrates 175 years of Glashütte's fine watchmaking tradition by embodying the pinnacle of contemporary watchmaking.
