Maurice Lacroix presents a highly original new Aikon, made in collaboration with street artist Wotto and produced in only 1,000 pieces.
Maurice Lacroix presents the new Aikon Automatic Wotto Limited Edition, a limited edition of just 1,000 pieces created in collaboration with the British street artist Craig Watkins, known by his stage name Wotto. This timepiece is a fine example of urban art applied to watchmaking, and is a fitting addition to the Maurice Lacroix Urban Tribe collection.
Back in 2021, Hungarian artist @Timeengraver had recorded an Aikon and presented it via Instagram. This independent artistic expression triggered a completely unexpected chain of events, which led Maurice Lacroix to present the Aikon Automatic Urban Tribe and Automatic Skeleton Urban Tribe, with the designer's approval. Two years later, @Timeengraver outdid himself with a new Aikon, this time decorated with the drawings of British artist Wotto, a key figure in the street art scene. Today, the circle comes full circle with the launch of this new limited edition made in collaboration with Wotto himself.
The 42 mm steel case, as well as the integrated bracelet and bezel, is entirely decorated with Wotto's characteristic designs, known for his unmistakable style that combines playful and surreal elements. His iconic designs - including mushrooms, hearts, ghosts on skateboards and lightning bolts - appear on the case, bracelet and dial, along with the artist's distinctive 'W', creating a unique visual language that turns each component of the watch into a small work of art.

Water-resistant to 200 metres, this new Aikon is powered by an automatic mechanical movement.
The real star of this Aikon, however, is the dial, on which Wotto was able to freely express his creativity. Against a minimalist grey background, A series of coloured characters in shades ranging from yellow to blue catch the eye, while deliberately discreet indices complete the design. The hands are SuperLuminova luminescent and the date window opens at 3 o'clock.
The new Aikon Automatic Wotto Limited Edition by Maurice Lacroix is driven by the ML115 mechanical automatic calibre (based on Sellita, 28,800 vibrations per hour), guaranteeing a power reserve of 38 hours.
The case has an anti-reflective sapphire crystal protecting the dial and an anti-reflective sapphire crystal porthole also on the case back, closed with 7 screws. Finally, the bracelet is equipped with a customised double folding clasp.
