The watch for NATO
of Linde Werdelin

Linde Werdelin produces a special series of its Oktopus diver designed for the close protection unit of the Atlantic Alliance.

Linde Werdelin is the Nato Close Protection Unit's (CPU) partner of choice for a series of specially designed and manufactured watches for the members of their unit. The CPU is the executive security team that protects the Nato Secretary General from potential enemy threats. Hence the Oktopus Nato CPU was borna watch that combines the functionality of a sports model with a sculptural and elegant case.

This is the first model to represent the third generation of the Oktopus dive model collection, originally launched in 2009. The first generation had a traditional rotating bezel, while the second generation was modified with a fixed eight-screw bezel and a slightly modified case design. The third generation features a five-part case made of grade 5 titanium, known for its strength and lightness, with a polished finish.

Automatic movement and power reserve of 42 for the Oktopus Nato CPU

A special collaboration for Linde Werdelin.

The movement is an automatic calibre with a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. "The Oktopus NATO CPU originates in a straight line from the Oktopus Frogman made in 2014 for the Danish Frogmen and the 3 Timer Ukraine made in 2022 in support of Ukraine when Russia invaded it. 'When we were asked to make this series, we accepted immediately, partly to be on the right side of history and supporters of peace, cooperation and democracy,' said Linde Werdelin co-founder Jorn Werdelin.
