The August/September issue of L'Orologio soon on newsstands

L'Orologio di Agosto/Settembre a breve in edicola

The next issue of L'Orologio will be on newsstands by 10 August.

In the meantime, here's a preview of the cover with the new steel/gold Submariner (or Reolesor, as the case may be) and some tasty sneak peeks.

To make a good start, we visited two manufactures this month: Panerai and Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The first turned out to be a real discovery. It was the first time, in fact, that L'Orologio (and yours truly) set foot in Neuchatel in the assembly ateliers of the Italian-Swiss company and the occasion was one of the best, given that a few months ago, Panerai started production of the new P.9000 manufacture movements. A family of 3 calibres which considerably expands the number of Panerai watches with proprietary (and not ETA derived) calibres. It is precisely to the P.9000 and P.9001 calibres that our Technical Example is dedicated, with a fine photographic overview of the two movements.

The visit to Jaeger-LeCoultre, on the other hand, was a kind of dress rehearsal for a series of similar trips that we intend to carry out in the future, giving readers of the magazine the opportunity for the first time to enter the manufactures and get an up-close look at where the objects of their passion are created. Already two readers have been able to visit Jaeger-LeCoultre with us, but many more will be able to enjoy this privilege in the future. We will soon tell you how and when. More details, of course, are in the article in the upcoming issue.

To continue in style, on the pages of L'Orologio No.180 August/September you will find an in-depth look at the new Omega PloProf diver and a showcase of 10 diving watches for all needs: from the professional diver to the 'pedalo theorist'...

In his column, Giulio Papi himself this month explains what gear finishing is and how it is done, while Roberto Vacca as always entertains us with his dissertations on time, straddling the present and the future.

Finally, a fair amount of space is dedicated to collecting, with our experts' appraisal, our vintage stock market and a six-page classifieds section.

We hope to keep you good company again this summer.

L'Orologio 180 will be on newsstands until the end of September!
