An exclusive preview for our Blog, the first image of the watch made by Terra Cielo Mare for Fiat 500. It is a limited numbered series of 500 watches that will be sold to coincide with the launch of the Turin-based company's new car.
The watch is dedicated to and inspired by the Fiat 500 of the 1950s, the red one having been chosen as an example, and has a case 38 millimetres in diameter. The domed crystal recalls the headlamp, with its protective band, while the dial is inspired by the tachometer both for the spheres and the lettering, and even for the inclusion of the oil and headlamp indicators that recreate, with the date display, the tricolour of the Italian flag as a symbol of Made in Italy. The crown and the two moustaches on the case are inspired by the frieze that used to be on the nose of the 500 and, to reinforce this reference, a red cabochon has been inserted like the Fiat coat of arms. On the other side of the case will be applied a plaque like the one placed inside the bonnet and bearing the serial number of the vehicle, which in this case will represent the numbering and limitation of the watch, which will be sold at €965.
The visible back allows one to admire the movement with its red rotor, echoing the colour features of the watch (the crown cabochon and the stitching on the strap), and the Fiat 500 logo laser-engraved on the glass.
