On 5 November, at the Laureus Charity Night in Zurich, Valentino Rossi donated at auction the IWC Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Ceratanium that has accompanied the nine-time motorcycling world champion (seven of them in the premier class, MotoGP), who has been linked to the brand since last year, through many of the milestones of his career.
The main purpose is to support the Laureus Foundation Switzerland for disadvantaged children and young people through the proceeds from the sale of the watch.
The buyer was also invited to attend the '100km of Champions', a motorbike race held every year at the VR46 Motor Ranch circuit, a purpose-built dirt track owned by the rider from Tavullia.
